Energy saving technology

We would like to thank you for the opportunity to test the Hippotron Ice System in Chur. The early feedbacks are very positive, both from the operator side as well as from players and coaches. As listed below some feedbacks:

Operator:

• we wereable to raise the slab set point by +2° Celsius right away, while improving ice quality
• in general we noticed that the freezing is more efficient (almost no loss in set point vs. surface temperature)
• we observedthat there is significantly less snow on theice
• reduction of flood water temperature — faster freezing after full floods

Players and Coaches EHC Chur:

• the ice is much moreresistant (e.g. less damage after heavy pratice)
• improved skating & gliding characteristics

During the period of using this technology, three aspects are important for us: The energy aspect, when we cool the ice surface two degrees higher than in the past. The technical aspect, when the roller prepares the ice surface faster and the freezing of water is significantly higher. And the third aspect is sports, which is the most important for us as athletes, and that is better sliding of the puck, better skating, and the players cannot praise it.

In the month of May 2023, we were approached by a company with HIPPOTRON ICE technology. We installed the technology in July 2023 and we are extremely satisfied. Personally, as a director and as an active player, I can only recommend. This technology has resulted in better ice quality and certainly more goals for me. Thanks for that.

From August 2023 we have HIPPOTRON ICE technology. The ice makers praise it because the ice freezes faster and the ice surface is of better quality. Even the coaches claim that the quality is noticeable, the ice is harder. And our duty is to prepare them quality ice.
